Christian Ruiz dropped out of high school in his third year after learning he didn’t have enough credits to be a junior. His counselor strongly suggested a program called Vocational Foundation, Inc. At VFI, he took up Computer Technology and was hired at Amalgamated Bank; however, he didn’t have his GED. Faced with that reality, he worked with VFI to get it. He now earns $11.50 an hour with benefits and takes online courses at the University of Phoenix towards his Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice. More > >
