LEARN THE BASIC RESPONSIBILITES OF AN ENTRY-LEVEL MEDICAL ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT POSITION
The Medical Administrative Assistant program is designed to introduce participants to various health care professions in the field, while providing intensive entry-level training that will teach them anatomy, physiology, basic medical terminology, medical office procedures, referrals, light bookkeeping, data entry, how to process health insurance claims, filing reports, customer service, telephone etiquette and clerical skills (faxing, printing, scanning, copying).
Graduates of this NHA approved curriculum will be also be CPR & First Aid certified. These skills will help them land a good-starting position as an office assistant, medical secretary, medical receptionist, outpatient admitting clerk, medical records clerks and other clerical positions.
